About

My name is Chirag Shah, an assistant professor in the Dept. of Library & Information Science within the School of Communication & Information (SC&I) at Rutgers University. I received my PhD from School of Information & Library Science (SILS) at UNC Chapel Hill (dissertation titled “A Framework to Support User-Centric Collaborative Information Seeking”). I have MTech (Computer Science) from IIT Madras, India and MS (Computer Science) from UMass Amherst. This blog is created to let me share thoughts and ideas on collaboration. While the blog is a part of Coagmento, a system for Collaborative Information Seeking (CIS), I’m not putting any limit to what could go here. I wish to keep this blog flourishing with posts about the works that go beyond building systems to facilitate collaborative searching, or study the act of collaboration.
